Just over a 60-minute drive south of Adelaide, South Australia, the name "Goolwa" means "elbow" in Ngarrindjeri, the local Aboriginal language.
Goolwa is home of the paddle steamer Oscar W, the fully operational steam train, the Cockle Train and many historical attractions.
Known for being an aquatic paradise with both river and sea, Goolwa is a tourist hotspot.
