APSA Spring Semester: Feb. 2 - May 25, 2017
The Salvation Army Alexandria's School for the Performing Arts (ASPA) works to develop compassionate and creative young artists through accessible arts education in a Christ-centered environment.
Music and the arts ignite all areas of child development: intellectual, social, emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the mind and body work together. APSA seeks to provide a safe place for children to develop these skills. and give them impetus to succeed at school and in life.
There are ten* classes offered through the ASPA program:
Hip Hop Dance
Jr. Praise Team
Music & Motion
Singing Company/Vocal Choir

ASPA meets every Thursday, from 4:30-7:00 PM.
The evening is divided into three sessions, with each class running for 40 minutes. Students pick one class from each session to attend (for a total of three), and move from session to session, with a dinner break in between. The schedule is as follows:
Session 1: 4:30 - 5:10
Dinner: 5:10 - 5:30
Session 2: 5:35 - 6:15
Session 3: 6:20 - 7:00
Student are asked to be in attendance for the entire evening; exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.
