Our mission is to promote Wing Chun in a respectful and honourable manner.
We are dedicated in teaching Wing Chun to those who are dedicated in learning.
Description The School Of Wing Chun Kuen is a small private class based in Birmingham, UK.

The school teaches traditional Yip Man style Wing Chun and aims to remain authentic by not digressing from the traditional Hong Kong syllabus. We teach the raw skeleton of Wing Chun and try to develop each student as an individual.

From the very first lesson students are taught Daan Chi Sau (single sticking hands) and other traditional sensitivity drills and exercises. Students soon move on to rolling, poon sau and then gwor sau. Beginners are also introduced to the Siu Lim Tao form in the first lesson to help nurture good stucture and positioning.

You will not see army style drills, repetitions, circuit training or incorporation of other styles any other things that digress from the true essence of Wing Chun.

The classes are not divided in to groups or levels; all students get to practice with each other. Every student is taught and assessed as an individual.

Each form is taught consecutively along with theory and application.
There are no belts or saches. Each form is considered a level but learning is not limited or restricted to each form.

The main aspect of the training is Chi Sau, this is known as sticking hands and is the close range sparring method unique to Wing Chun.

There is an intensive workshop once a month which helps students develop further.

Students are also taught and encouraged to use the 'poles' to aid them in their development, regardless of level.
