In today's world, a personal assistant is increasingly a necessity, not a luxury. Having a personal assistant doesn't indicate that you have failed, in fact it indicates being a strong-willed and successful person despite all the obstacles in the way, you still manage to grow and move forward. Our services can help regain some of that balance in your daily life, lessen stress and gain peace of mind!
Shannon Root is the Owner and a Maternal Lifestyle Assistant at Too Blessed to Stress, LLC. She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Bethel College in Mishawaka, IN. She is also CPR/AED Certified. Beyond her formal education, she is the mother of three amazing children; Two of her pregnancies were high risk, including restrictions and bedrest. As a result of those experiences, Shannon likes to think of herself as a "2x Bedrest Survivor", having been on bedrest both at home and in the hospital. If you or someone you know has ever been on bedrest the title "Survivor" probably has you shaking your head in agreement.
During a two week stay in the hospital, prior to the premature birth of her youngest son, Shannon thought, "There has to be a better alternative to this. A way to make the time more tolerable, less isolating and depressing". That in mind, she set out thinking about her unmet needs and what she could do to help other women in similar circumstances. She wanted to create a service that would not only benefit women but their unborn children and familes as a whole--this is what lead to the vision for the Company.
As women we face a stigma that we HAVE to do it all or we aren't doing our jobs as wives and mothers. Being Type A and let's be real, more like Type A+++, like many women, Shannon had a difficult time reaching out for and accepting help during those stressful and trying times. Looking back, if it hadn't been for the support of her family and friends there is NO way she would have gotten through it mentally, emotion
