My goal is to create a comfortable environment, whereby we can establish a trusting therapeutic relationship. We work collaboratively to better understand your needs, clarify your concerns, identify your strengths and start working towards a resolution.
The majority of my work focuses on trauma, mental health and addiction. My knowledge of these issues is largely informed by my work with family service agencies, addiction treatment centres, crisis facilities, as well as holistic wellness clinics.
My approach is empowerment-focused, which means there is an emphasis on one's strengths, potentials and natural abilities to heal. I also incorporate elements of Cognitive-Behaviour therapy, Emotion-Focused therapy, Narrative therapy, Trauma Focused therapy, and Mindfulness. My work involves providing clinical counselling to individuals experiencing various issues, including:
