|About||129 years of celebrating the agricultural and community history and achievements in Traralgon and surrounding districts.|
For 128 years, The Traralgon and Districts Agricultural Society Inc. has existed to showcase local agriculture and associated activities, including the showcasing of horses in competition for the purpose of points accrual to qualify for the annual Royal Melbourne Show in the following year. In addition, there are smaller scaled competition in the areas of poultry and goats for local enthusiasts.
We work in consultation with Gippsland Agricultural Show committee to also facilitate community competition related to creative and traditional activities including needlework, cookery and photography, also serving as qualifiers to the Royal Melbourne Show.
The annual event also engages with local schools to run local competition showcasing artwork, cookery, photography, floristry and crafts, judged and presented at the annual 2 day community event in November / December.
