|About||We are a group of Truckers and friends serving food at truck shows to raise money to help children's charities in the area that we are in at that event|
Who we are
Truckers United for Charities is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit all volunteer led organization. We are “Truckers and friends, helping others one mile at a time” Throughout the year we hold fundraisers at various truck shows. Typically that is done by selling food from a grill that we staff in the truck parking lot at the truck show.
What we do
We donate the funds we raise to local nonprofits, especially those which support children in need. Some examples include:
In 2015 funds raised from the Mid-America Truck show supported Camp Quality Kentuckiana in the Louisville, KY region and Galilean Children’s Home in rural KY. Funds raised from the Expedite Expo supported the St Christopher’s Fund.
In 2014 funds raised from the Mid-America Truck show supported Camp Quality Kentuckiana in the Louisville, KY region and Home of the Innocents in Louisville, KY. Funds raised from the Expedite Expo supported the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
In 2013 funds raised from the Mid-America Truck show supported Camp Quality Kentuckiana in the Louisville, KY region. We also supported Truckers Against Trafficking (this is an organization that helps stop human trafficking.) In August we had a success raising funds at the second annual JBC Truck Show in Perrysburg, OH for Cystic Fibrosis. In October we raised funds at The Heart of America Truck Show in Kansas City, Kansas. These funds were raised for a Head Start program in downtown Kansas City. We also raised funds for Bridges a Make a Wish program for children of deceased service personnel from Afghanistan.
In 2012 funds raised from the Mid-America Truck show supported the Home of the Innocents (a local charity for children in Louisville, KY) and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation (a hospital where Chance Rogers was treated. Chance Rogers had cancer and was a grandson of a fellow truck driver). In the summer of 2012 we helped raise funds at the Great American Truck Show in Dallas, Texas for Special Olympics Texas
