|About||Typical.Media is a producer of all things creative. From video production to graphic design. Based in beautiful BC. We are anything but typical.|
Typical Media is a multi-media creative agency founded on the Westcoast of Canada. Established January of 2017, it is the lovechild of Jason Saliani and Jordan Venoit; two creative individuals who first met in college.
Jason and Jordan’s first collaborative project was a college video assignment. A short film based on the character from “Where’s Waldo”, except this time, with a horror twist. The duo quickly bonded through working on this project; finding common ground in the quirky, strange and sometimes twisted ideas that sprung up during its production. The finished product turned the conceit on its head, transforming a beloved children’s book character into something completely new, and different.
Due to the harsh realities of real life however; the would-be horror/comedy film duo had to split paths upon graduating college. Though the time apart allowed them each to hone their own unique skills, and styles across a broad range of medias. Dabbling in everything from advertising, marketing, video production, graphic design, photography, social media, web development, and anything else you can imagine creating on a computer (but the list is already long enough, and we’re sure you get the point).
After several years of darkness, working the typical 9-5 “for the man”, Jason and Jordan were reunited by a shining beacon of hope, the idea to start their own thing; a place to be creative on their own terms, a place they can be proud to work, a place not so typical. A company of their own, and thus, Typical.Media was born.
With over 14 years of creative industry know-how, Typical.Media combines real world, hands-on experience, theory based knowledge, and two easy going attitudes. We bring our clients a fun and unique brand of marketing solutions from two professional and wildly creative Westcoast dudes.
Trust us, we’re anything but typical.
