|About||Improving quality of life of members of Western, North Carolina community, Union Mills, NC through events and upkeep of the Union Mills Clubhouse.|
|Mission||Helping to provide a safe environment for our citizens that use the community building. Offer reasonably priced rental space for dinners, weddings, reunions, ant other functions such as 4-H, community meetings, lunches and Christmas parties.. Provide for care, repair and maintenance of the Community House that was built in 1939. Assist as we can in improving the lives of our citizens.|
We are affiliated with the Western North Carolina Communities in Asheville, NC and also with the Rutherford County Community Council. WNC Communities is an program began by the state to encourage rural communities to organize and work to improve their communities and the lives of their citizens. The awards program is held at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville every November.
The award money is used by the club to make improvements on the building. Most recently there is a new men's rest room, new windows, new lights , new gas heater for the kitchen and many other smaller improvements.
To rent our facility is a simple $50 a day!

One of the charter members is Pearl Barnette, who is still volunteering time to the Community Club. For many years Pearl , Anna Mottonen, Bonny Roane, Beth and Moss Holler were the main stays of the Community Club. They led the Club to earn many first place awards in the Rutherford County Development Program.
