The UW Clean Snowmobile Team is a student organization that is striving to design, build and race an environmentally friendly snowmobile.
The Clean Snowmobile Team is a student organization at the University of Waterloo that is striving to design, build and race an environmentally friendly snowmobile. The project is managed and administered by students from all faculties, under the direction and guidance of the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering. We are currently developing our first ever electric, zero emissions sled for the SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge taking place in March 2017.

2002 : 8th place Overall
2003 : 6th place Overall (2nd of 2-stroke)
2004 : 11th place Overall (Most Sportsmanlike Conduct Award)
2009 : 11th place Overall (Most Innovative Design and Best Simulation Driven Design Award)
2010 : 9th place Overall (3rd in Acceleration and 3rd for the Engineering Design Portfolio)
2011 : 11th place overall (early withdrawal due to mechanical failure)
2012: 10th place overall (1st in acceleration, 2nd in oral presentation, award for best implementation of the Hayes Brakes Trail Trac system)
2013: 10th place overall
2014: 9th place overall (Most Improved Snowmobile Award)
