Mission The Center for Asia Pacific Studies at the University of San Francisco (formerly the Center for the Pacific Rim) is a leader in bridging the Pacific through programs that promote understanding, cooperation, and cultural exchange.

The Center serves as the core of Asia Pacific Studies at the university by creating synergies among and uniting the various departments and programs that focus on East Asia, India, and the Philippines. Our work facilitates research and teaching on Greater China, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, and India and highlights the strengths of our USF programs and faculty working in the field.
