The PfizerPfonics choir was established in Cork in September 2003, under Musical Director, Bernadette Kiely. This Choir, which initially consisted of Staff from Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals along with family and friends, has grown from strength to strength.
We are a mixed voice choir of approximately 50 members and our repertoire covers a wide range of music from Sacred to Folk, Modern to Jazz.
- Ages range from early 20s to mid 70s
- Most Members come from the Cork area
- A vibrant, friendly and fun choir in a relaxed atmosphere
- A hard working choir
- A great Musical Director
- Rehearsals Tuesday nights in Douglas from early September to late May 7PM to 9PM
- Run occasional professional workshops
- - A Member funded choir, along with funding events and small donations
The choir are also very proud and privileged to be invited to sing at a number of events through out the year which include Church Services and some charity events and a number of Carol Recitals at Christmas time.
The Choir travel abroad every 2 years. We have participated at Festivals in Vienna, Nice, Riva del Garde, Rome, Amsterdam and the Royal Albert Hall.
In 2010, PfizerPfonics were invited to take part in the RTE, An Cór, an all Ireland choir competition which was shown on National Television.
