Warsaw Tourism Center is a simple online platform to help you book tours and attractions in Warsaw. But not all of them - only those carefully selected by us, those we consider to be the best. We are not a big corporation. We don`t rent expensive retail space nor do we pay marketing experts thousands of euros to define us.
We are a pair of tour guides who have guided thousands of travelers through the streets and attractions of Poland, Italy, Spain, Greece, India, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and many other places. With this experience, over so many years, we have learned the kind of experience visitors are looking for and how to deliver it. We`ve seen what works elsewhere, and what was missing in Warsaw - namely the lack of group tours offered at an affordable price. Before, if one wanted a tour of Warsaw, useually the option was to hire a private tour guide at a high price.
This is why we created the Warsaw Tourism Center.
It is the definitive place in Warsaw to sign up for regular, daily, small-group tours at a low price.
Classic Warsaw Walking Tour
This tour provides a perfect introduction to the city. It explores the main highlights and stories - from Warsaw`s very beginning in the Middle Ages, throught the centuries when it was the capital of the largest country in Europe, total destruction during the second world war, sovies occupation and communism, to contemporary changes. Distance walked will be about 4 kilometers and it will take 3 hours.
Tour of the Polin Museum
The tour starts with a story of a few travelling medieval merchants, goes through centuries when this part of Europe was home to the largest Jewish community in the world, explores distinctive forms of life and culture of Polish Jews, their social, economic and political evolution, all the way until extermination during World War Two. But Holocaust isn`t the end. The exhibition goes on to present Times, telling what happened to Polish Jews who survived the war, how was their life in communism and how is it today.
The story is presented in a very modern, interactive exhibition that makes the Polin Museum the most spectacular new museum in Poland. In 2016 it received European Museum of the Year Award. The building itself is a result of international competition. The architect first had to take into consideration the location of the Museum: in what used to be the very heart of Jewish Warsaw, later turned by the Nazis into the ghetto.
We believe he did a great job. When was the last time you saw a glass building on the site of genocide. Never, it never happens. It`s an incredible statement of hope in the place of tragedy.
For the locals, the Museum has become an icon of modern architecture in Warsaw. At the Warsaw Tourism Center we also believe it is the face of new Poland - it`s about light, transparency, reflection, openness.
The tour starts at 3 pm and will end by 5:30 pm. Before closing the Museum at 6 pm, you will still have time to look into the Museum`s store with wonderful collection of books (also in English)
