Description The Webster County Sheriff's Office is responsible for protecting and maintaining the rights of all residents and enforcing the laws of the State of Iowa.

Under Sheriff James Stubbs and Chief Deputy Rod Strait, we have 14 sworn deputies serving Webster County.

12 deputies are assigned to the Patrol division. They are responsible for patrolling the unincorporated areas of Webster County. They are also responsible for patrolling the towns of Clare, Badger, Vincent, Barnum, Moorland, Lehigh, Callender, and Harcourt as the Sheriff's office has contracted with these towns for our services.

We have 2 deputies assigned to the Investigations Division. 1 detective is focused toward general crime and ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) investigations, and 1 detective is focused toward narcotics investigations.
