|About||The West Coast Climate Forum is an EPA-convened partnership of western cities and states working together to inspire deep cuts in GHG emissions.|
|Mission||Our mission is to inspire and show how to achieve deep cuts in greenhouse gas emissions across the full lifecycle of materials.|
The West Coast Climate and Materials Management Forum is a collaboration of state, local, and tribal governments that are developing and sharing ways to integrate lifecycle materials management policies and practices into climate actions. We work together to provide information, develop solutions, and measure what matters.
Materials management is an approach to using and reusing resources most efficiently and sustainably throughout their lifecycles. It seeks to minimize materials used and all associated environmental impacts.
The Forum’s goals are to:
• Provide state, local and tribal governments with tools for sustainable materials management and climate action planning
• Influence national and regional policy on sustainable materials management and climate protection
• Advance priority climate and materials management research
