Enjoying, riding, sheltering---horses>>advocates for St Judes Childrens Hospital
Originally breeding / training Appaloosa horses, the Joker B line; the farm evolved into a horseback riding facility known world wide for country fun and 'horsey' delights and a place for displaced horses and other farm stock to find sanctuary
Since my husband , Doug, passed away , we have suspended riding operations. . Thru the years.........There was lots of riding in the woods and roping in the arena and whip-cracking contests, and Mountain-man camping and black-powder shoots. They filmed documentaries on wet lands for the local Sarasota Jungle Gardens there. We did TV commercials for Champs clothing chain, and Bealls Dept Stores, advertised on the radio and in movie theaters. We held horseback benefits yearly for St Judes Children's Hospital (22yrs now) Had champaign moonlight rides, and headless horseman for Halloween hay rides.... It was an exciting place sometimes and other times so very private and quiet....I loved it.
State 4H awards in the 1950s; next generation gymkana wins in Florida as well as stallion in hand in Florida in the 80's;
