About The WKU Strength and Conditioning Coaches sole purpose is to help each student-athlete, sport coach, and the WKU Administration in preparing athletes for conference and national championships.
Mission Our goal is to guide each WKU student-athlete, and each WKU team to reach their highest level of competitive performance with the ultimate outcome of winning games, matches, meets, or competitions at a championship level.
Description Programs are based from sound scientific principles that are geared to student- athletes enhancing their athletic potential. Workouts cover a wide range from olympic lifting movements, powerlifting movements, repetition effort movements, and corrective based movements. Workouts are desinged to increase absolute strength, relative strength, explosiveness, and flexibility/ mobility. Conditioning sessions are based on movement patterns that the athletes will experience during competitions along with sport specific metabolic training.
