The Mission of the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts is:
To present and create excellent and innovative performing arts programs for the enrichment, education, and enjoyment of diverse audiences and participants.
Our Vision: Wolf Trap will harness the power of the performing arts to enrich and change lives by extending the Wolf Trap experience to millions of people worldwide.
About Us: Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts is a majestic natural setting for over 100 performances across all genres every summer. Home to the architecturally stunning Filene Center and the charmingly intimate Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods, the 117-acre Park offers dining and hospitality amenities throughout the summer season, and year-round recreational opportunities, including hiking trails, picnic areas, and sledding.
Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts is the official partner to the National Park Service in providing concert and performance programming within the Park.
The Barns at Wolf Trap - 382-seat indoor venue that serves as the home of the Wolf Trap Opera company in the summer, an indoor concert season from October through early May, and special event rental space.
Filene Center - summer concert season that runs from the end of May to the beginning of September with an average of 90 outdoor concerts each year.
Wolf Trap Opera - summer residency program for young opera singers and producers of some of the finest and most critically acclaimed operatic performances in the country.
Education Programs - places professional performing artists in preschool classrooms nationwide to use drama, music, and movement to teach basic skills and encourage active participation and self-esteem in the earliest stages of learning, college internship program, classes, and the summertime Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods.
