Mission Dedicated to the care of your pets
Description Caring vets dedicated to the welfare of your pets - 7 networked RCVS accredited centres - 24/7 hospitalisation and emergency service at our pet hospital - Pet Club discounts - Parking - Open 7 days - Vaccinations - Neutering inc. key hole surgery - ICC / ISFM recognised cat friendly

For over 30 years our primary concern has been the total well being of pets entrusted to our care, together with your peace of mind. We operate a friendly and high standard professional service from our 7 veterinary practices across Stockport and Wilmslow. We are able to offer locally based care that's backed up by the full resources of our RCVS accredited veterinary hospital in Cheadle Hulme which is open 24 hours a day. At Woodcroft Vets your pets will be treated as if they were our own with sympathy and personal attention
Awards Cat Friendly Clinic
We are practice members of the ICC and ISFM underlining our commitment and dedication to the care and well being of our feline patients.

“Membership of ICC and ISFM signifies that these practices are keen to increase their knowledge of feline diseases and treatments, and have a real interest in the health and welfare of cats”.

In addition, we have recently been accredited by the ICC/ISFM as a ‘Cat Friendly' practice. We have taken steps at our Cheadle branch to ensure it is a more friendly and welcoming place for both cats and cat owners. We have separate hospital wards and reception waiting areas for cats and dogs.

RCVS Accredited Practices
All of our practices are regularly inspected & approved by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Practice Standards Scheme. The RCVS is the official body that regulates the veterinary profession: you can be assured your pets receive the highest standards of care at all times. Our Queens Rd Hospital has been awarded 'veterinary hospital' status by the RCVS. This is the highest accolade the RCVS are able to award, currently held by less than 170 practices out of over 5000 nationwide. As part of the accreditation process for ‘hospital status’ the RCVS audits all our vets to guarantee that they regularly undertake additional training to ensure that all our patients receive the best care at all times.
Products 24/7 Emergency Care
We provide 24/7 emergency ‘out of hours’ provision by our own vets at our own hospital – we never close. In the unfortunate circumstance that your pet needs emergency care outside routine consulting times, rest assured we are on hand to provide any help required.

Cheadle Hulme A&E Vets is staffed by our dedicated team of experienced night staff from our hospital on Queens Rd. Our staff only work at night so they are fresh and ready to assist you and your pet should the need arise. We do not expect you to be attended by vets who may be exhausted after a hard day’s work. Neither do we expect you to travel long distances to remote, separate A&E clinics. Instead, we are able to offer a local caring emergency service from a state of the art hospital practice, computer linked to all our other centres. This ensures all our vets have access to your pet’s medical records irrespective of the time of night.

State of the Art Anaesthesia
We have invested heavily in advanced anaesthetic drugs, training and monitoring equipment to ensure that your pet’s anaesthetic is as safe as possible.

Blood pressure, pulse oximetry and capnography are standard practice for all but the very shortest of procedures at all of our centres offering anaesthesia.
Most importantly, all our patients have a trained dedicated anaesthesia nurse assigned to them to provide continual ‘finger on the pulse’ monitoring throughout the anaesthesia & recovery periods. Together with the veterinary surgeon, their only role is to ensure the safety of your pet's anaesthetic.

Constant hospital supervision
If your pet is hospitalised with us, you can be assured they are being cared for by experienced staff to the highest standard.
Our hospital is staffed 24/7 – your pets will never be left alone. In most veterinary practices there is no-one on the premises after the end of evening surgery or over weekends. This means that there is no-one on the premises to look after any patients that are kept
