|About||At Woodview we provide delightful self-contained accommodation in the pretty Somerset village of Compton Martin near Wells, nestling in the beautiful Mendip countryside and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.|
When you stay with us, you’ll enjoy luxury accommodation that's just a stone's throw from the popular village pub.
We take every care to ensure that our beds are indulgently comfortable with fresh, clean linen and a powerful (as well as roomy) en-suite shower.
The house, originally built in the 1760s, has been lovingly restored by owners Jon and Rachel Baker. With the help of Company Dog, Treacle, you’ll receive a warm welcome, exceptional comfort and outstanding quality.
Treacle will also extend a friendly welcome to visiting dogs if you choose to share your stay with your best friend.
Excellent KITCHEN FACILITIES
If you’re planning to cook up a meal (or two) whilst you’re here, we’ve got all the pots and pans you’ll need, not to mention herbs, spices, and extras like jam and butter for your use. There’s a dishwasher (who wants to wash up when they’re on holiday?) and a huge American fridge/freezer too.
We know that you can’t beat drifting off in a comfortable bed, snuggled under a toasty duvet with comfy pillows. That’s why we’ve invested in orthopaedic mattresses and plenty of quality hypo-allergenic pillows to help you enjoy a restful night’s sleep.
A proper SHOWER
You are assured of a decent hot shower and warm fluffy bath sheets as standard at Woodview - we understand that this is an essential part of your experience with us, whether it’s unwinding at the end of a busy day or getting your engines going in the morning, we don’t mess with shower time.
In case you’re wondering, we have wi-fi and there’s a TV with Freesat in both the kitchen and the bedroom.
There’s off-street parking and we can lend hairdryers, an iron and ironing board (we draw the line at doing it for you).
On a clear night, the roof lights in your room offer some stunning views of the night sky including the Milky Way as well as both Blagdon and Chew Valley Lakes during the day.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE OPERATE A MINIMUM TWO NIGHT BOOKING POLICY.
