|About||Musical Instrument and Theory lessons for all in the West Sussex Area|
|Mission||To offer a fun, dynamic learning experience tailored to the students' needs. To incorporate music etiquette as a constant part of students' learning pathways.|
Calling for GCSE/A Level students in Music. Lessons are tailored to suit current syllabus for all levels of music tuition.
Complete beginners are also welcome, all ages accepted (except those under the age of 10). Lessons will begin with intensive theory tuition to enable the development of music reading skills, expression and etiquette. Keyboard skills and piano teaching will incorporate these skills and, therefore, such skills are necessary.
Do parents want their child to succeed in GCSE music with an A* rather than an A grade?, then I am the answer - I encourage my students to develop a sound understanding of the principles of music from the very beginning. Piano skills lessons will entail working with both contemporary music and classical/jazz and other styles that the student choose to concentrate on.
Weekly homework will be set and will reflect upon the amount of 'school work' my students have. Some weeks there will be more homework based on the theory of music. This is necessary to ensure the sound understanding of music theory and playing music individually, in a group, or being a part of a small music group at school.
Adults who want to learn piano and the principles that go with this are especially welcome. Lessons will be planned with students during the initial session to agree on a learning pathway.
I have achieved Grade 8 on Piano' and Trumpet. I studied music every Saturday for four years at a prestigious music academy based right in the heart of London City Centre. Further achievements include Grade 8 music theory, Grade 5 'Cello. I have also played in many orchestras nationally and internationally. I got first place in many classes of the Worthing Music Festival. I achieved Grade A* in Music GCSE (100% marks for composition and performance) and Grade C in A Level Music. Grade B in Performing Arts A Level also.
Further opportunities for me have included playing in the National Children's Wind and Chamber Orchestras, the National Youth Orchestra, and I have played alongside the late Johnny Dankworth and Cleo Laine (both being very famous jazz artists').
