At WWF we are so much more than pandas & tigers - we work to protect rivers, forests, climate & oceans. It's all about people & nature living in harmony.
Safeguarding the natural world, tackling the global threat of climate change, and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources.
There's more to WWF than pandas and tigers…
Did you know that every two seconds an area of forest the size of a football pitch is destroyed? Forests are so much more than just a collection of trees. Forests are home to more than half of all land-dwelling animals, plants and insects; around a billion people depend on forests for their livelihood. Forests play an important role in regulating the global climate - they absorb and cycle huge amounts of carbon and water. They're also thought to help provide 75% of the world's usable fresh water.
