About Yampa Valley Land Trust is a land conservation organization dedicated to protecting the incredible open landscapes of Northwest Colorado, serving Routt, Moffat, Jackson, and Rio Blanco Counties.

Mission Yampa Valley Land Trust conserves natural, scenic, agricultural, historic and other important public and private open land resources in Northwest Colorado, including but not limited to, Routt, Moffat, Jackson, and Rio Blanco Counties, with a focus on the Upper Yampa River Basin in Routt County and the Upper White River Basin in Rio Blanco County, for the benefit of this and future generations with a commitment to uphold and defend the conservation easements it accepts.
Description Yampa Valley Land Trust was established in 1992 and has dedicated the last 25 years to conserving the stunning open landscapes of Northwest Colorado.

These projects safeguard open space, species-rich wildlife habitat, and productive ranchland that contributes to the local economy, in addition to opening new areas that provide public access to trails and rivers - quenching the community's thirst for adventure!

To date, YVLT has permanently protected over 56,130 acres across four counties in Northwest Colorado.
