|About||Yass Valley Support Brigade is a NSW RFS volunteer brigade located at Yass Fire Control Centre that services surrounding areas in MVA's, rural firefighting and assists FRNSW with residential fires.|
Yass Valley Support Brigade is apart of the New South Wales Rural Fire Service. All members of the brigade are volunteers and train regularly to fight bush fires, grass fires, building and vehicle fires, as well as attending motor vehicle accidents for fire suppression/protection.
We respond to various incidents throughout the year anywhere in our area and at anytime. We train every fortnight throughout the year except between November - February as these are generally high fire seasons and due to family and work commitments to ensure we are one of the best Brigades in our area.
If you are interested in joining the RFS or our brigade we encourage you to come down to the Yass Fire Center at 1410 Yass Valley Way to our training nights (every 2nd & 3rd Wednesday of the moth) and get more information and necessary paperwork. You are not required to become an active Firefighter as there are many other roles that you can help in.
