The Lantern festival is an important holiday for people living in China and other Asian countries. Celebrated 2 weeks after the Spring Festival, it is usually the end of the holiday season in China and people will come back to their jobs afterwards. The festival also signifies the beginning of spring and a new year. Celebrations include a variety of activities such as eating Tangyuan, riddling, and decorating the house with lanterns. Adorned by the shimmering lights from the lanterns, the night streets are a must-see scenery at this time of the year. Young people often go out at night to appreciate the beauty of the streets, and many of them find love under the romantic lights, so it's also known as the Chinese version of the Valentine's day. In order to celebrate the Lantern festival and facilitate the culture exchange among the Stanford community, ACSSS brings to you this culture gathering. We want you to just have some food and learn about the culture. So just enjoy yourself and have a wonderful night!
