Join us this Sunday at Constellation Chicago as we support flutist and vocalist Nathalie Joachim who's having a show in conjunction with the Resonant Bodies Festival.

Nathalie will be sharing excerpts from "Fanm d'Ayiti" (Women of Haiti), her most recent evening-length production. It is a project inspired by Nathalie's heritage, the celebration of women, and an exploration of self. "Fanm d'Ayiti" is a combination of arrangements of songs written by some of Haiti's most iconic female performing artists and original compositions that utilize field recordings from her family's farming village of Dantan, Haiti. Each song investigates language, Haitian Creole and French, and how it can be used to encourage activism, cultural preservation, and strength.
