What is Means Restriction Training?

Means Restriction Education is designed to help providers educate at patients at risk for suicide or parents and adult caregivers of youth at risk for suicide to limit access to firearms, alcohol, and prescription or over-the-counter drugs in the home. The intervention also gives parents and caregivers specific, practical advice on how to dispose of or lock up firearms and substances that may be used in a suicide attempt.

Who should attend?

Emergency Room Department Staff and Mental Health Providers

Training is free

Training will start promptly at noon. Please bring your own lunch

CEU’s will be offered for this training.

Registration is required as space is limited.
