Sugar-sweetened beverages–such as soda, energy and sports drinks–are the largest source of added sugar in the diets of both children and adults in the U.S. Adults and teens are gulping down these concoctions, but so are more children as young as 2 years old, according to data from the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research.

In this April 26 seminar, Susan Babey, co-director of the Center’s Chronic Disease Program, and her co-author Joelle Wolstein, a Center research scientist, will discuss findings from their latest study of sugary beverage consumption in young children in California and provide a sneak peek at an upcoming study on consumption among Californians all ages.
