“Could it be said that we all now suffer from a form of theoretically pure anterograde amnesia?”
Craxi Driver is a project started, when the first italian republic collapsed, circa 1992. In the beginning consisted in thick layers of tape manipulations and audio signals from the void of italian voices, corrupted politicians, satanist fellowships, brutal serial killers as narrated by evening television news and bad nightmares about a world rapidly changing its face. Having played for a while into punk- hardcore bands and then with the psychedelic supergroup “La Piramide di Sangue” he realized how show business and bands sucks. So he studied how to hack his shitty toy keyboard and that weird video recorder to produce horrible sound and mind blowing video signals. Music and video production begun: “Siamo Solo Noise Records” was born.
With interest ranging from politics of sound and media pervasiveness to old arabic music tapes found on the ground at the flea market, this year he’s back on tour with the precise goal of creating an audio- visual disturbing audio-video experience where depression, paranoia, and lost futures are merged into a RGB/ hole, consisting in noise, video feedback and glitchtes made with old nasty vhs and cameras.
