Description
Dharmavaram Sarees are essentially fabricated from Pure Silk, with complicated zari works woven on them in resplendent colors. The characteristic Dharmavaram Silk Sarees have huge solid color borders with intricately woven brocaded Gold Border. Designs at the pallu and body of saree in largely represent flora and fauna are also traditional legends of the country. Leaf, Flower, Fruit, Animals and Bird designs are largely integrated into Dharmavaram Silk Sarees. Dharmavaram sarees are widely known for the Golden Borders and artwork embossed on them. Furthermore, this fabric also consists of gold brocaded styles and motifs which resemble the religious symbols represented in temples and other non-secular locations of worship. Be it the elephant designs, peacocks or elegant stylish temple borders, these motifs and designs reflect the religious culture through these sarees, which are not universal but also religiously popular and appreciated.

Craft Origin
These saris imprinted their essence into the ethnic world 120 years ago. This fabric originated from a small structured town called Dharmavaram, Dharmavaram, a small city of city hand loom cluster is positioned in the District of Anantapur of Rayalaseema Region in Andhra Pradesh. The Craft is known for it’s a colorful and incredible use of colors and also made up of rich stylish motifs.
These Sarees are widely known in the South of India as Wedding Sarees along with Kancheepuram Silk Sarees. Silk Fabric is known as Pattu in South India so these Sarees are well known as Dharmavaram Pattu Sarees in South India. Silk Sarees now are made in extremely good coloration and the royal majestic appearance of the saree can complement any event of celebrations like traditional and spiritual ceremonies, and marriage functions.
