The Prestonpans Tapestry returns to Cockenzie House for a very special exhibition, as part of the programme of activities commemorating the anniversary of the Battle of Prestonpans this September.
See the story of Bonnie Prince Charlie's 1745 campaign unfold before you in 105m of beautiful embroidery, designed by Andrew Crummy and stitched by hundreds of hands across Scotland. Visit the first of Scotland's great community tapestry projects, which has gone on to inspire so much activity since its completion 8 years ago.
This is the only chance you will have to visit this fabulous and charming work of narrative embroidery this year, and will be the perfect complement to both the "Prestonpans One-to-One" exhibition at the Gothenburg and the dramatic battle re-enactments of 15-16 September.
