Director Cam McDonald studied and worked in the hotel and events sectors for 8 years before beginning a career in the electrical business, earning qualifications in hospitality and events management and working in some of Melbourne's most famous event venues. While this may appear unrelated to the electrical industry, he established a strong foundation of understanding client wants, professionalism, and excellent customer service early in his career. Cam began his career in the electrical industry in 2006 and completed his schooling in 2010. However, in 2012, a job opportunity in Dubai arose, and Cam spent the next 6 years working as a construction project manager, creating banks, restaurants, beach clubs, and high-end offices for international clients, including members of the Saudi and UAE royal families. While this may not appear to be immediately relevant to an electrician, Dubai has generated a high level of attention to detail, a tireless pursuit of quality, and a knowledge of the administrative processes and customs of the commerce and construction industries.
