Unfortunately besides having a bad posture, a closed chest also means your heart's functioning is not optimal, and your mind and thoughts are restricted.
Chest openers and back bends can help reverse all those bad effects. The more you expand your sternum, rib cage and the rest of your upper body with chest openers, the more blood, oxygen and nerve circulation will be freed up to invigorate you mentally and physically. This class will also have a sequence of seated asanas to slowly free the restricted parts of your body that need to be loose to comfortably come into padmasana and sit in peace.
