Friends of the One And All Sailing Ship Inc cover
Missione History of the One&All.
A group of volunteers, originally known as the Jubilee Sailing Ship Project, worked together with ship builder W.G. Porter & Sons Pty Ltd to set about the construction of the tall ship STV One&All at North Haven, Commencing work in 1982.
Their objective was to provide communities for young people in South Australia for personal self-discovery and self-development, in an adventure learning environment.
Overseas experience showed that doing this on a working sailing ship would also provide opportunities to preserve the ship skills which were important part of this State’s maritime history for much more than a century.

The design of the 42.68m ship was based on the original rig of an 1850’s brigantine. The hull was launched in December 1985 and the ship launched in December 1985 and the ship commissioned in April 1987. She joined the 1987-88 First Fleet Re-enactment and has been sailing regularly ever since.
Purpose built for Sail Training, she’s not a replica of anything in particular but is based on a schooner called the “Postboy” which was built in Port Adelaide in 1874.
The Friends retain many of the hundreds of people and organisations associated with those early days, as well as those who have taken an interest and contribute since as supporters and volunteers.
