Established in 1894 by George C Oxlade, our 4th generation family-owned and operated art supply business has served artists and institutions in Queensland for over 100 years. In 1910, William, Allen, Matt and Bryan Oxlade together formed Oxlade Bros. Proprietary Company, Painters, Decorators, and Signwriters. This was the beginning of Oxlades. Our location in Fortitude Valley has been here for 100 years, serving the same community with the same mission.

Oxlades Paint & Art Centre opened its doors to the public at 136 Wickham St on the 18th of February 1922. Since then, we have been delivering quality art supplies and expert service to a varied clientele- from professional artists to hobbyists and students.
