Prodigal Family Services offers specialized addiction counselling, general counselling, and Christian counselling either online or in person. Our passion is to help individuals and their families navigate the difficulties of addiction and recovery. We also provide general counselling services for various issues such as emotional and mental health, grief and loss, life transitions, men's issues, work and relationship stress, couples therapy, and family therapy.
Our addiction service has one of two entry points.
1: Help for the substance user
2: Support for the loved one of a substance user.
If the substance user is not ready to seek help for themselves, this doesn’t mean you should be without support. Every situation is different, and with our unique mix of counselling and consulting, we can help you in your journey where you are at right now, equipping and empowering you to bring about the change you desire and work towards a better future. Our Principal Consultant Murray, has an extensive background in addictions, and his knowledge of the topic reaches beyond the norm having lived his own personal experience seeking help and residential rehabilitation for a drug and alcohol addiction and deteriorating mental health as a young adult. He has over nine years’ professional experience in the Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) sector, and seven years professional experience as a counsellor, including six years living and working in a residential drug & alcohol rehabilitation centre.
