Shown in collaboration with University of Nebraska Medical Center - UNMC.

In Michael Almereyda’s drama, eighty-six-year-old Marjorie (Lois Smith) spends her final, ailing days with a computerized version of her deceased husband (Jon Hamm). With the intent to recount their life together, Marjorie’s Prime relies on the information from her and her kin to develop a more complex understanding of his history. As their interactions deepen, the family (Geena Davis, Tim Robbins) begins to develop diverging accounts of their lives, drawn into the chance to reconstruct the often painful past.

Following the film will be a talk with panelists from the Interprofessional Experiential Center for Enduring Learning (iEXCEL), a bold and visionary program at UNMC focused on improving the outcomes of care through experiential learning and new technologies — including augmented and virtual reality. Featuring: UNMC’s Ben Stobbe, RN, MBA, executive director for clinical simulation, iEXCEL; and Bill Glass, MA, director of visualization & technology, iEXCEL.
