Kingston Gallery cover
Opis An artist-run gallery incorporated in 1982, Kingston takes its name from its original location on Kingston Street in Boston's Chinatown. In the mid-90s the gallery was one of the very first to relocate to Thayer Street, anchoring what has since developed into the vibrant SoWa arts district of the historic South End.

The gallery is showcases a diverse range of contemporary art in a mutually supportive environment that encourages experimentation and growth. Our current roster of artists includes: Ilona Anderson, Kathleen Gerdon Archer, Joan Baldwin, Sarah Meyers Brent, Judith Brassard Brown, Linda Leslie Brown, Cree Bruins, Mira Cantor, Susan Emmerson, Conny Golz-Schmitt, Julie S. Graham, Mary Lang, Erica Licea-Kane, Barbara Moody, Jennifer Moses, Rose Olson, Christina Pitsch, Linda Schlosberg, Elif Soyer, Rhonda Smith, Jamal Thorne, Hilary Tolan, Ann Wessmann, Luanne Witkowski, Chantal Zakari.

Kingston Gallery exhibitions receive attention in both print and online publications including Art in America, Art New England, ArtScope, Boston Globe, Boston Herald, The Weekly Dig, ArtCritical.com, and Time Out Boston.

The gallery space is divided (front to back) into the Main, Center and Members’ galleries. Occasionally at the discretion of the gallery artists the Center Gallery space is offered to a non-member artist interested in mounting a month-long show to coincide with exhibitions in the Main gallery.

Associate Membership is an invitational group selected by the membership to expand the Gallery's contact with artists and to encourage new art in our community. The associate members include: Jamie Bowman, Tatiana Flis, Jane Lincoln, Nat Martin, Laurel McMechan, Rachel Mello, On-Kyeong Seong, Rachel Sevanich, Rachel Thern, Anne Sargent Walker.
