Dr. Robert Appel, M.D.
Dr. Appel has been practicing on Long Island for almost 30 years. A New York native, his education includes degrees from Columbia University and Cornell University, and specialty training in Ophthalmology at the Boston University Medical Center. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Hofstra University School of Medicine. He actively participates in Ophthalmological Societies on the national, state, and local levels, and has served as President of the Long Island Ophthalmological Society.
His ophthalmology experience includes extensive work at the St. John Eye Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa, and the Manhattan Medical Group in New York City prior to beginning practice on Long Island.
