The Child Psychology Hub

The Child Psychology Hub offers specialist psychological assessment and treatment for children, adolescents, young adults and their families. Assessment and treatment for a variety of mental health challenges are offered including parenting support and coaching.

Dr Ella Woods has over 13 years' experience working with children and young people experiencing mental health challenges and also works as a senior clinical psychologist in CAMHS. She is able to offer assessment, therapy and support for a variety of mental health challenges.

At The Child Psychology Hub, we believe that children’s brains are shaped (structurally and chemically) by their relationships, connections and experiences. How our brain is ‘shaped’ in childhood effects how we behave, feel, cope and relate to others. Therefore, we often take a systemic or family approach to working with children. We often find that change happens quicker and is more sustainable when we work closely with parents and/or the system around the child. This is because you know your child best and will also be around long after our input has finished. We can do this work while maintaining confidentiality for the young person.
