Artist Rene Bahloo of Weavery will show you how to create a sculpture by wiring up an armature, and then weaving over the top of it with natural fibres to create a spectacular sculpture. Fibres will be sourced from the site of Stoney Lee Art farm in Numulgi, NSW, (as well as some pre-prepared), and you will gain an understanding of how to identify, harvest, prepare and store these plants, as well as use them to create something amazing tha you can take home with you.
This is the first time that Rene will be sharing this particular knowledge, so dont' hesitate to take advantage of the opportunity and book now. You will find that Rene's style of teaching is very holistic, fun, informative and deeply nourishing at the same time. Prepare to meet new friends and spend a lot of time smiling, and breathing too.
This is a weekend of weaving and creating, so bring a tent and bedding if you'd like to stay over, or come in each day.
