The field of “HOW TO CREATE VISIONS OF FUTURE” specially in the food and allied industry is one area where lots of developments and change have taken place. Our Institute wants to become a pioneer in the area of “How to create visions of future, It offers what things are changing, What global systems need to build now , What’s the most important thing one should be learning today , Tools to understand, effective leadership and positive attitude and so on.
Our vision is to make the Institute for developing the food industry an advanced center where "SUCESS BEGINS WITH CHANGE”. In its pursuit of excellence, the institute has plans to organize seminar conferences and workshops regularly.
Indian Food and allied Industry is currently facing opportunities as well as challenges as a result of the ongoing economic development and food inflation. Moreover, changing lifestyles in urban and rural India are changing the way Food industry approach their business. With consumer preference undergoing tremendous changes, they are literally on their toes to roll out products suiting the needs of the dynamic consumers preferences. Meeting the demands of the fast paced consumer lifestyles are single serve ,small size bakeries, RTE outlets leading to increased demand for fast food, bakery ,Snacks, Extruded products. There has also been a noticeable shift towards natural and healthy food products with emphasis on vitamins, whole grains and fibers. Private label products gained considerable importance in retailing strategy. In recent years however the food and allied industry has been facing difficulties with high costs of production and increased material costs.
‘Institute For Developing Food Industry’ (IDFI) has been organizing a number of Seminars on relevant themes pertaining to Food and alliedy sector. In this series, last Seminar was successfully organized in AMA-Ahmadabad on September 21st & 22nd 2013, December 21st & 22nd 2013, IHM-Bangalore 02nd March 2013, IHM-Shree Shakti Hyderabad on11th Oct.2012, Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth Parbhani Maharashtra on 17th July 2012, AAU- Anand, Gujarat on 05th March 2012 in association with ‘Anand School of Baking’ where more than 800 Delegates from the Food Industry participated. Further we had conducted few workshops cum seminars at Satara, Kolhapur, Navsari, IHM Goa, IHM Nasik on “Bakery & RTE Products” to show case latest in new technology and ingredients t which will feature on two broad areas, i.e., Education and Training and Food Safety and Regulations.
