Descrição I offer a loving, family ‘home away from home’ environment. The children in my setting have a very active and enjoyable day with various arts, crafts and educational trips. I am also ideally situated near to local play parks, Southwater Country Park, Southwater Library and local shops. I have a good selection of toys and books for children of all ages which I am continuously adding too throughout the year. I am flexible in my working relationship with parents to best serve and accommodate your needs.
…The Importance of Play…
Play is fun for children. Play is the way children learn. Through play children learn about themselves, their environment, people and the world around them. As they play they learn to solve problems and get along with others. They improve their creativity and develop leadership skills and healthy personalities. Play develops skills which children need in order to learn, read and write.
In accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage there are seven areas of learning: Three Prime Areas (Personal, Social & Emotional Development. Communication & Language Development. Physical Development) and Four Specific Areas (Literacy. Mathematics. Expressive Arts & Design. Understanding the World). In my setting, these areas of Learning & Development are continuously being addressed and explored in the activities that we do.
