The Lindner Studio cover
The Lindner Studio has been one of New York’s premier studios for over thirty years. Located in Chelsea, the atmosphere is sunny and relaxed. Our staff includes experienced photographers, artists, and designers who are intelligent and caring people. Experts at what we do, we are devoted to guiding our clients through the process of all their photographic needs.

What you can expect from David and our photographers is timeless and classically beautiful work that reflects not only talent but knowledge and expertise. Our style is elegant and substantial, transcending all vogues of the moment. Our emphasis is on heartfelt expressiveness and visual beauty.

Our aesthetic is Classic Re-Imagined, using traditional and time-honoured photographic methods to capture our clients' weddings, corporate events, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, family portraits, school portraits, graduations, 100 day baby photos, engagements, sweet sixteens, and more.

David Lindner

David comes from four generations of professional photographers. His mentor was Philippe Halsman, the legendary Life Magazine cover photographer. David opened his studio in 1977. With grants in the arts, he specialized in dance, theater, portraiture, and published the magazine Dance Life. As a photographer, David’s subjects have ranged broadly: from the President of the United States (congressmen, governors and mayors, too) to school children; from gangsters to firefighters; from the world’s greatest ballet dancers to tango pros to jazz dancers and musicians; from boxers to circus performers; from rock stars and celebrities to performers from virtually all over the world. David’s art photography has been shown in numerous galleries, museums and books. In 2004 he was honored with a United States postage stamp featuring his performance photography of America’s greatest choreographer, George Balanchine.
