William Harold Jones was admitted to practice law in 1977 and has practiced law for 37 consecutive years. Jones opened his new law office at his present location in 2000 having previously occupied office space at 123 South George Street, Petal, Mississippi, for over 21 years.
His law practice includes representation for the individuals who receive personal injuries and their
families as a result of the death of person/s involved in industrial, automobile accidents and otherwise.
He has been heavily involved in representing injured workers and in representing them before the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission. He is heavily involved in bad faith insurance litigation and has had considerable success in suing insurance companies.
Jones has also served in the Mississippi Legislature for 13 years and served as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. He served on the Selective Service District Appeal Board 545 for the State of Mississippi for 11 years. He is a licensed pilot and a member of The Lawyers Pilot Bar Association, The Mississippi State Bar Association, The Mississippi Association of Justice, and The American Association of Justice. He received the Outstanding Service Award from the University of Southern Mississippi as a Legislator in 1988, and received the Common Cause of Mississippi Legislator Leadership Award in 1990. William Harold Jones has also served as Chairman of the Mississippi State Board of Education.
