Take the leap, learn the basics of spoken word! Whether you love poetry, music, signing, writing, or are just curious as to whether you might like spoken word, this is the perfect series to get your feet wet. The series will focus on positivity, making healthy choices, and the dangers of tobacco use. Beginners are welcome! All high school aged youth are welcome!

This is a 4-part series that will be held every Tuesday in April from 4-6pm. The workshop will be led by Universal Recording artist J Ross Parrelli. At the conclusion of the series a spoken word contest will be held on May 11th from 7-9pm.

This series is funded by Nevada County Tobacco Use Prevention. Participants will be encouraged to write at least one piece about the dangers of tobacco use.
