Originally from the Catskills in upstate New York, Kirsten Fredrickson displayed a strong creative flair and passion for art and business at a young age. She started her journey by attending The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City and majored in Advertising and Communications. She further pursued her career by attending the Aesthetics Science Institute in Latham, New York where she received her New York State license in esthetics. Kirsten's career started as a counter manager for Estée Lauder which eventually lead her to start freelancing as a makeup artist.
Kirsten has over eleven years of experience in professional makeup artistry which includes, but
not limited to: Airbrush, Bridal, Celebrity, Commercial, Consulting, Corporate, Conceptual, Editorial, Head Shots, Men's Grooming, Portraits, Runway, Special Events, & T.V. / Film / Video.
In addition, Kirsten served in the distinguished position of Estée Lauder's Northwest (Colorado) and Southwest (Utah, Arizona, and Nevada) Regional Makeup Artistry Team while living out west. Her time was spent contributing to various special events (ie. makeup, spa) and educating beauty advisers. Along with continued education and training from Estée Lauder, Kirsten has also been trained by Kett Cosmetics in beauty airbrushing. Kirsten's attention to detail, innovation and creative concepts have resulted in various editorial publications, fashion shows, music videos, beautiful bridal work, features, and she recently completed work on her first feature film.
Kirsten works attentively to find the right products and colors for each person based on their individual desires, skin tone, and features. She also excels in unique and original makeup design. Combining her knowledge of makeup application with an understanding of clinical skin care and product knowledge as a New York licensed esthetician, Kirsten has the perfect blend of experience and training to help you achieve your desired look.
