Children at our program will have daily developmental activities such as free time where children will learn social emotional skills acceptance for others, self-reliance, compassion, and will be guided by educators to be successful and school ready, in free time there are lots of opportunities to learn social emotional intelligence, resolve conflicts with their peers. There will be activity time where children will learn from the educator, children will receive guidance in a particular activity, each month the curriculum theme will be changed, for example one month may be the jungle, and another may be the sea. Activity time is a great time to develop the mind of the children and inspire creativity, open ended questions and the participation of children in small and large group may open an opportunity to new ideas, and self-expression.
Meal time will be a great opportunity for children to learn about multicultural foods, tastes, flavors and textures, children will be able to explore the different tastes of the world, and this will lead to cultural competency. Meals will be served in family style where children will develop fine motor skills when serving their meals. Children will have lots of opportunities to develop their gross motor at outdoor time. Here there is a big yard and lots of outdoor equipment for children to play and enjoy. Children will have free time outside just as inside the facility, and will also have directed activities such as soccer and circuits for children to play in. We believe that children learn best when they play at Little Cupcakes Daycare we give children the opportunity to play and offer an environment where children are can develop all of their abilities and have school readiness.
