Миссия To combine the creation of knowledge through research, scholarship and creative works with the dissemination of knowledge through teaching, publication and performance.
Описание From modest beginnings on what was largely farmland, the University of Waikato has grown to a student population of about 13,000 of whom more than 4800 complete a qualification annually. Today the University employs 2000 academic and support staff, making a significant contribution to the local and national economy.

The University of Waikato is committed to delivering a world-class education and research portfolio, providing a full and dynamic university experience, distinctive in character, and pursuing strong international links to advance knowledge.

The University of Waikato/Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato offers a uniquely New Zealand model of university education. Our motto, 'Ko Te Tangata', which means 'For the People', reflects our philosophy that we are in, of, and for the community.

The University of Waikato Conservatorium of Music offers:

» World-class tuition with dedicated nationally and internationally renowned musicians

» Specialist facilities including the acclaimed Dr John Gallagher Concert Chamber in the University’s Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts building

» Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarships to support outstanding students

» Frequent opportunities to hone your performance skills through live performance; on campus and throughout the North Island

» An environment tuned to excellence; evident in student achievement in national and international performance competitions (for example our students have won the NZ National Concerto Competition the last three years running, and a current PhD student has won the Mozart Fellowship at the University of Otago for 2014).
