WE will begin this 2 hour practice by exploring the subtle energies of your chakras with a balancing yin sequence. We will move upwards from the base of the spine to the crown of the head with a guided visualization and flow through a meditative set of postures that will connect you with each of your chakras. We will also include some breathwork (pranayama).
For the last 30 minutes, we will lay on the floor with blankets, cushions and bolsters for our Yoga Nidra practice.
This ancient practice, also know as Yogic Sleep, allows our body to relax deeply, as if it were asleep, while we remain alert and aware and are brought on a journey through the layers of our consciousness.
This practice is very healing, both physically and emotionally and its benefits are numerous:
- improved sleep
- reduced anxiety
- helps manage chronic pain
- improved creativity
- reduced levels of stress
It is said the 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra is the equivalent of 4 hours of uninterrupted deep sleep.
This afternoon practice is open to all levels, including beginners.
Booking is essential as space is limited.
